Collection: Sergey KONONOV

Né à Odessa (Ukraine) en 1994, Sergey KONONOV vit et travaille à Paris. Dès l’âge de 9 ans, Sergey apprend à peindre, chaque semaine, dans l’atelier d’un artiste d’Odessa. Il intègre le Collège d’Art d’Odessa en 2009, puis l’Académie d’Etat de Génie Civil et d’Architecture d’Odessa en 2013, avant de rejoindre les Beaux- Arts de Paris en septembre 2015. Vite considéré comme un des artistes ukrainiens les plus prometteurs, il présente Olympic Reserve au Museum of Modern Art d’Odessa en 2014, puis est invité à l’exposition Enfants Terribles à l’Ukraine National Art Museum de Kiev en 2015.

La Galerie Lazarew Paris organise sa première exposition personnelle en juin 2016 (Rouge), qui marque le début d’une collaboration suivie. Après son diplôme des Beaux-Arts de Paris en 2021, Sergey KONONOV passe l’année 2022 en Ukraine, où il prépare sa première exposition solo aux Etats-Unis, présentée chez 15orient en mai 2023. A l’occasion de sa sixième exposition à Paris en novembre 2023, une première monographie rassemblant ses oeuvres de 2015 à 2023 est co-éditée par MKF éditions et la Galerie Lazarew, avec le soutien du CNAP. Le premier solo londonien de l'artiste est prévu en septembre 2024, avant d'autres projets en France et à l'international.

Born in Odessa (Ukraine) in 1994, Sergey KONONOV lives and works in Paris.
From the age of 9, Sergey learns to paint, every week, in the studio of an artist in Odessa.
He joined the Art College of Odessa in 2009, then the State Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture of Odessa in 2013, before joining the Ecole des Beaux- Arts de Paris in September 2015, from which he graduated in June 2021. Quickly consideredas one of the most promising Ukrainian artists, he presented Olympic Reserve at the
Museum of Modern Art in Odessa in 2014, then was invited to the exhibition Enfants Terrible at the Ukraine National Art Museum in Kiev in 2015.

The Galerie Lazarew Paris organizes his first solo exhibition in June 2016 (Rouge), which marks the beginning of an ongoing collaboration. After his diploma from Beaux-Arts de Paris in 2021, Sergey
KONONOV spends year 2022 in Ukraine, where he prepares his first solo show in the United States, presented at 15orient NYC in May 2023. On the occasion of his sixth exhibition at Lazarew Paris in November 2023, a first monograph - gathering artworks from 2015 to 2023 - is co-published by MKF éditions and Galerie Lazarew, with the support of the CNAP. The artist's first London solo is planned for September 2024, before other projects in France and abroad.
