Guillaume Toumanian (Marseille, 1974) vit et travaille à Paris et Bordeaux. Son exposition au salon de Montrouge en 2003 lance un cycle d’expositions régulières en France et à l’étranger. Son premier voyage en Arménie, son pays d’origine, a lieu en 2005 et influencera grandement ses peintures de mémoire.
A partir de 2010, plusieurs de ses œuvres entrent dans la collection A.A Moueix. Il reçoit le Grand Prix Bernard Magrez de Bordeaux en 2017, qui lui ouvre les portes du Château Labottière pour sa grande exposition personnelle « De la lumière », nourrie par plusieurs résidences en Chine, à Pékin et Hanghzou. En 2018, il entame une collaboration régulière avec la galerie Samira Cambie de Montpellier, avant de s’ancrer davantage à Paris dès 2020 : résidence à la Fondation LAccolade, réalisation d’une série de lithographies à l’atelier IDEM et première exposition à la Galerie Lazarew.
En 2023, il est invité par Numa Hambursin et Amélie Adamo au MO.CO Montpellier,pour l’exposition collective « Immortelle », vitalité de la jeune peinture figurative française, et curate en parallèle l’exposition collective « Mimesis » à la Galerie Lazarew (avec Axel Phalavi, Florence Obrecht, Raphaëlle Ricol, Nazanin Pouyandeh et Stéphane Pencréac’h). Fin 2024, alors que sa première monographie est publiée aux éditions Lord Byron, la Chapelle des Cordeliers de Toulouse lui offre une très belle exposition personnelle. 2025, il participe à l’exposition collective très attendue « Luxe, calme et volupté », à Cannes, pour la réouverture du centre d’art La Malmaison (commissariat Amélie Adamo).
En parallèle, Guillaume Toumanian est le fondateur de MENK, projet artistique pluridisciplinaire qui se développe en France et en Arménie, avec le soutien de l’Institut français.

Guillaume Toumanian (Marseille, 1974) lives and works in Paris and Bordeaux. His exhibition at Salon de Montrouge in 2003 launched a regular cycle of exhibitions in France and internationally. His first trip to Armenia, his country of roots, took place in 2005, and it has greatly influenced his memory paintings.
Starting in 2010, several of his works entered the collection of A.A Moueix. He received the Grand Prix Bernard Magrez in Bordeaux in 2017, which opened the doors of Château Labottière for his major solo exhibition “From Light,” nourished by several residencies in China, in Beijing and Hangzhou. In 2018, he began a regular collaboration with Galerie Samira Cambie in Montpellier, before establishing himself further in Paris from 2020: a residency at LAccolade Foundation, creating a series of lithographs at IDEM workshop, and his first exhibition at Galerie Lazarew .
