Troisième volet des explorations Hors Cadre du duo parisien Evrard & Koch, qui questionnent la représentation classique de la peinture. A mi-chemin entre architecture, peinture et sculpture ; leurs œuvres remettent en cause la notion de frontière : selon la lumière, le positionnement ou l’heure de la journée, les jeux d’ombres et les réfractions puissantes des pigments sur les murs modifient la façon d’appréhender l’œuvre.
Dans la première exposition (Hors Cadre #1, 2015), le rectangle blanc, symbole de la toile vierge, était fracturé, plié, pour inviter le hors champ à tenir le rôle principal.
Pour la seconde (Hors Cadre #2, 2016) les structures se séparaient et les vides ouvrait des perspectives inattendues.

Third stage of Evrard & Koch's "Out of Frame" explorations questioning the classic representation of painting. Halfway between architecture, painting and sculpture, their works challenge the notion of frontier : depending on light, position and time of the day, the shadow effects and the powerful refractions of the pigments on the walls modify our way of apprehending the work.
In the first exhibition (Hors Cadre #1, 2015), the white rectangle, symbol of a pure canvas, was fractured and bent in order to give importance to the outside field.
For the second exhibition (Hors Cadre #2, 2016), the structures were separated and the voids opened up unexpected perspectives.
This third exhibition marks a break with the classic idea of the painting hanging on the wall : almost no angles, works that split into several elements and fill even more the space with their volume. The key element to this exhibition is the curb. It ties all the elements into a // coherent structure, captivating... and yet still unseizable structure. //
