Originaire du Portugal, Soraia Sü a grandi à Lisbonne jusqu’à l’âge de 5 ans. Elle découvre la céramique en 2011 à l'atelier de Mire à Paris et approfondit cette passion à l’atelier Chemins de Terres de Montreuil.
Organiques, gourmandes, décadentes, ses oeuvres font à la fois appel à la mémoire et à une pulsion de vie joyeuse et sensuelle. Ici, trois assiettes colorées exhibent les reliquats d’un festin partagé. Là, des mamelles émergent sous une composition de bananes, où une guirlande est restée accrochée. L’univers ludique et instinctif de Soraïa Sü déborde et donne envie de recommencer...
Born in Portugal, Soraia Sü grew up in Lisbon until the age of 5. She discovered ceramics in 2011 at Mire workshop in Paris and delved deeper into her passion at "Chemins de Terres" workshop in Montreuil.
Organic, greedy, decadent, her works appeal both to memory and to a joyful and sensual life drive. Here, three
colorful plates display the remains of a shared feast. There, breasts emerge under an arrangement of bananas, where a garland remains hanging. Soraia Sü's playful and instinctive universe is overflowing and makes you want to start partying again…
