Pour cette nouvelle exposition personnelle à la galerie, Marchal Mithouard (Shaka), se défait de la couleur - qui a tant occupé ses recherches précédemment, pour proposer des monochromes puissants et mouvants, à la limite de l’abstraction. Ses portraits sur papier, exclusivement réalisés à la mine de plomb dans le style graphique caractéristique de l’artiste, déstructuré et précis, montrent à quel point ses pratiques en volume ont nourri son dessin.

In occasion of his new solo exhibition at the gallery, Marchal Mithouard (Shaka), discards color - which has been so pivotal in his previous research - to propose powerful and moving monochromes, bordering on abstraction. His portraits on paper, exclusively made with a pencil in his characteristic dessected and precise graphic style, show how his other works on volume nourrish his drawings.
