With a true generosity in her painting — unafraid of impasto, colour, or overflow — the compositions of Georgian artist Masho Zaldastanishvili stand out for their bold choices of framing, drawing us into deeply vivid, bubbling atmospheres, poised on the brink of intoxication and imbalance.

Born in 1993, the artist, who has also worked as a costume and set designer in the theatre, pays particular attention to textiles and textures, as well as to the structuring of space, which is always left open onto an “outside” that beckons us.
